For our appetizer we had the tuna tataki which was tender and flavorful. The Batman and Black Russian rolls were just as amazing. I highly recommend!

We celebrated a birthday tonight and the Grand Marnier Shrimp was out of this world. The appetizer (Mt Fugi Shrimp) was to die for....this was an exceptional dining experience.
I truly miss this restaurant. Richmond is lacking dining options if sushi is desired. This popular spot used to be packed with people on a given night and offered some of the most creative sushi in town. I'm not sure what changed but every time I visit the food declines. They still feature creative rolls, but these rolls often miss the mark. Our favorite roll from dinner was one of the special spicy tuna rolls with a jalapeno, red onion, and cilantro minced topping. The roll was a pleasant balance of heat and crunch however, the featured spicy tuna, was very soft and lacking tuna.
Richmond is not really a sushi city- it has great seafood but it is a bit lacking in the sushi department. Osaka is very nice, but if you are used to sushi you can get in larger cities such as NYC or Philadelphia, you will be disappointed.
As a bonus, Osaka is very good with gluten free.
