Food was excellent and plentiful, as were the service and draught beer selection. Nice atmosphere. I'm a NYC'er, so eat plenty of good Italian food.

4 of us visited Nota Bene for dinner and were exceptionally impressed with the quality and authenticity of the meals that we were served. All of us have lived in Italy and we are difficult to impress! The wine list was good and the service was attentive and just right for this charming local restaurant.

We were two couples celebrating a birthday on a very crowded night. In fact, when we arrived at 7:30, every table but ours and the one next to us by the windows (and even every seat at the bar) was full. These two tables were reserved and the other one was quickly filled too, leaving a totally full restaurant. Despite the full House, the service was very prompt and professional. Drinks and appetizers were ordered and brought out in good time. We had the bread, the olive bowl, the fried cauliflower and the lamb meatballs. All were very tasty! Pasta dishes were ordered all around and all were very good too. The only warning I would give is that the two tables by the windows can be VERY loud when the restaurant is full, so if you want conversation or have a member of your party that is hard of hearing, ask for a table farther into the restaurant where it is not nearly so loud.

Our visit was fantastic from the phone call to reserve our table to the dessert and coffee at the end. We enjoyed the friendly voices, faces and genuine interest in their job. The vibe of the restaurant is cool with all ages and seeming occasions. Our appetizers were delicious. I got my entree and we waited for my boyfriends food. We kinda waited a while, but no worries, we ate on mine while we waited. His steak came out and we noticed it seemed fatty and tough. We didn’t complain, we did love my dish and the flavor of his was great. To our surprise, the waiter came to the table to let us know the entree was on the house. The waiter told us the chef was not happy with the way it cooked up, and actually came out and watched his struggle with the not so great parts. We were completely impressed with this level of perfection. While it was not a great dish, they certainly made it right and we will look forward to seeing what else this restaurant does!

Went here on a Tuesday night with some friends, which was lucky for us. Tuesday is $50 date night. 1 salad, 2 entrees, 1 dessert and a bottle of wine. We had the mixed green salad, which was okay. The two entrees (calabrese salami pizza and torchio pork ragu) were awesome. I love brick oven pizza, and this was really good. The pork ragu was the best though. The chocolate almond cake was also very good. Oh yeah, the wine was good too. All in all, definitely worth $50. This restaurant is pretty small so be sure to make reservations.
