Been on a budget lately so eating out has been scarce. Tried a restaurant we haven't been to before since who knows when we will eat out again. The menu is vast and we asked for help with the selection. I've had Korean food before, but not the BBQ. Ended up with the pork belly (Korean bacon) and boneless chicken BBQ which was cooked at our table by the waiter....I thought we'd be able to cook it ourselves, so was a bit disappointed. The BBQ is definitely enough to share between 2 people and came with a lot of cold, pickled type of sides. We did get hot rice, hot steamed egg, hot tofu "soup", but the rest was cold and pickled...noodles, kimchi, turnips, cucumber, dried seaweed, lettuce to make lettuce wraps. We also ordered crab shumai, wonton soup and a potato flour cake. All were good, but as it was a rainy evening, I thought I'd be getting hot, comfort food....cold and pickled didn't do it for me, but that is my issue and not the restaurants. The wait staff were very attentive. The 2 BBQ dishes were more than enough for our family of a mom, dad, son (13) and daughter (11). I thank them for being adventurous enough to try something different and not kick up a fuss.
