Description: Tarrant's Cafe is situated in the Richmond Old and Historic District. It was an important corner bringing drugstore services to nearby residents for over eighty years spanning the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. 130 years later this building is bringing neighborhood service to Richmond’s community with an upscale but affordable restaurant: Tarrants Cafe.

Just two blocks from Quirk Hotel, this restaurant has it all! Good selection on the menu, outstanding service and chef. I had the blackened salmon, and my wife had filet mignon. We were both completely satisfied. We sat at the bar and were entertained by the bartender, Kate, who told us about the history of the building and recommended things to do in the city. Thanks Tarrant's!!

Food was slow to arrive and not great. Chicken and waffles was excellent. Chicken parm was not. Looks tired and feels out of date.

The dinner was quite good, service was good, and the prices reasonable. A winner. The restaurant is walking distance to the November Theater and makes a great pair of dinner and a show.

Met a couple of friends for a late lunch and drinks. The service was great and the food was even better. Always a great place!

We celebrated my sons and grandaughters bithday at Tarrants the other evening.
It was Sunday so it wasnt that busy but the music churning out some really good tunes created a great atmosphere.
We ordered a selection of food items, but what stood out was the fried green tomatoes which we ordered for an appetizer. along with the brushetta.
We also ordered the BBQ ribs, The flounder, Fish tacos, A monte cristo sandwich and the fish sticks for my grandaughter, off the children's menu which was very impressive. Normally childrens menus are extremely limited, not the case at Tarrants however where there is a really good selection to choose from and the option size is really good also.
