We had come to visit Jack Shainman's Schoolhouse gallery in Kinderhook, and this restaurant was recommended to us for lunch. It's just a couple of blocks away, right off the town square.
We are warmly greeted by Carrie. The place exudes the feeling of down home comfort and a pleasant informality. Probably one of the most friendly and welcoming places we've ever been to. The menu has a nice variety of offerings, and it was clear that healthy and natural is the underlying premise. We each had a BLT on prefectly toasted sourdough. No skimping on quality or quantity of ingredients. Absolutely delicious. Lots of smoothie and juice offerings as well.
We'll be back to the gallery as exhibitions change and will time our visit to enjoy breakfast or lunch at Eat. Sip. Smile. Thanks, Carrie!
