The best food in begur! The tacos are to die for, and the wasabi mayonnaise that comes with the bravas is delish!! The restaurant is located in a cute little square behind the church. Oh, and if you like desserts, don’t forget to try the chocolate coulant with rataffia ice-cream!

Fabulous location, wonderful views. Food is imaginatively and delicately presented and delicious. Lovely service too.

We were drawn by the inviting look of the place. Interesting menu however the croquets were cold, gluten free food served with gluten and they even forgot the spoons for desert.
Our waitress tried to be helpful but really had no clue. The girls tried but it was just poor management . A real shame for a place with lots of potential

We ate here on a showery Monday when most shops and many restaurants were closed. We were drawn in by the attractive, modern look of the place, and the menus outside offering a sharing menu with a modern take on the local cuisine.
Do to the weather we ate inside in the cozy dining room made bright by a large window looking out on the top of the village hill. The space is clean and quite modern for a medieval village, but comfortable and not trying to be uber modern by any means.
Our waitress was very friendly and patient with our many questions in mostly English and mixed Spanish.
We shared five tapas, and felt each of them were perfectly executed. The fries with wasabi mayo were crisp and from fresh oil. The cheese plate was four local cheeses, each a substantial portion and tagged with descriptions. A half order of croquettes were lightly golden and oozed a bechamel-like sauce with little chunks of smoky ham. An order of calamari - a stuffed tube with squid ink, a rich, white cream sauce and cilantro foam - was as delicious as it was visually surprising and appealing. Our molten chocolate caramel dessert was very rich, obviously made with excellent chocolate, and by far the best dessert we've encountered on this trip. We felt the prices were very fair for the quality of the fare and excellence of preparation.
I would not return to Begur without planning another meal at Cal Bandarra!
