We stayed from 23rd September for 15 nights. This was our first time to the Orka Hotel & waterpark and unfortunately I have to say this will be the only time too. As a whole aspects of the holiday were brilliant but too many things accumulated to make it so we wouldn’t want to return in future, this is my 3rd time to Turkey and 12th time staying an all inclusive so I’ve had varying degrees of experiences, I don’t go out expecting a 5 star treatment. I would have to rate this hotel as my 2nd least favourite up to now.

Good parts - staff were friendly and really helpful as a whole, the rooms were clean upon arrival, check in was quick, few things in the room that were free like a safe, slippers, etc, there's free Wi-Fi all over the hotel, is spotty in places but overall pretty good coverage, plenty of nearby shops if you find yourself short of anything.

Bad parts – when we booked the holiday it was sold as “hotel & waterpark”, but in reality it’s a hotel with free access to a waterpark located a taxi ride away, the hotel does provide a free bus transfer to the waterpark between certain times. You have to pay for everything in the waterpark as your all inclusive doesn’t extend to the park, when you arrive at the park you have to add money to a wrist band to pay for things which is a good idea, but if you use a card to put money on it you don’t get back anything that’s left on the band, pay with cash and you will get the remaining balance back. The prices aren’t overly cheap in the park, I blew through £60 on few burgers and drinks for 4 of us. Some of the park was closed for maintenance and a lot was still under construction, they are making the park considerably bigger for next season or so I was told, but as it stands after having just short of 4hrs in the park the kids were ready to leave, and they weren’t bothered about going again.

The hotel rooms weren’t cleaned often enough, we were out of the rooms from around 8am-4pm everyday, I only had my room serviced 4 times in a 15 night stay.

The food was OK but was hardly ever served much hotter than luke warm, and became repetitive very quickly, everything in the hotel is repeated weekly, the pool snack bar never changed.

Entertainment during the day was none existent, the hotel employed 2 entertainment staff but for what reason I have no clue, they came and turned the music on at 10am and never saw them again after that until they did the kids evening disco from 9pm-9.15pm, they played the same 5 songs every night for the kids to dance to with them, then that was the kids entertainment over and the adult one began at 9.30pm for about an hour, the entertainment wasn’t bad and the female vocalist they had singing on a Friday was brilliant, but again this is repeated weekly. Nothing happens during the day, at all, was told upon booking this was a hotel with activities for all the family, clearly not the case out of the school holiday so be prepared to make your own fun for most of the time.

The rooms were quite small and not divided up, 6 of us were split up over 2 rooms and both rooms just had 3 single beds in them, privacy was fun with 2 teenage boys. On a separate note too the electronic key cards they give you for your rooms are rubbish, stopped working all the time and needed to be recoded at the main reception

Upon checkout I was hit with a bar bill that wasn’t mine, if you order premium drinks at the bar they just ask for your room number and sign the bill, when I challenged my charge the bill was produced and it was clearly not my signature on it which I proved to the receptionist from my driving license, she called a manager and he became quite harsh with demanding I pay the bill and was being unreasonable and wouldn’t listen to me, I wasn’t in a position to stand there and keep arguing with him as we had to set off to the airport so cleared the bill and left, be very wary of this as you could find yourself with a bill that isn’t yours with staff unwilling to help, they clearly do not have a proper process in place to make sure you don’t get charges to your room that isn’t yours!

Unfortunately since I last visited in 2019, the hotel has really gone downhill. It has now changed to All Inclusive, which seems to have resulted in a drop in standards. The food was OK. Good selection. But the drinks were very basic. Basic soft drinks. And very little spirits to choose from. And tea, coffee and water. Snacks only available one hour per day.

Alongside the above, the other guests were not good. Children running wild everywhere. Drunk and swearing adults. Management and security did nothing to address this. The pools were chaos. No choice of any quiet areas to relax in during the day due to the children screaming all around the pool. Management should allocate one of the pools to adults only / children friendly. It was awful on a nighttime with the noise ans swearing. It felt quite intimidating.

The annex has been revamped and is gorgeous. But the villas could do with refreshing. It's all very well being an all inclusive hotel, but every single items has been cleared out of the kitchens, so only small paper cups to make a drink in. Tv didn't work. Lamp didn't work in the lounge.

The cleaners were amazing in what they did, leaving us surprises in 'towel art' each day.

Also the Spa is a must visit. Best massages going!

I booked my holiday and didn’t realise there are different orka worlds in the same areas.
We had a 3 bedroom villa for 6 of us but there was a bed short. So had to have our 8 year old in the bed with us. After the 1st night my partner complained about back ache due to the mattress literally being like a concrete slab. I went to reception and asked if we could change villas as there was other issues… limescale all over the tiles in the bathroom which was very damp with leaks
We was told no Also told that a different mattress would be brought to swap over …. That never happened.
The pools were freezing no heated pool so the kids would come out shivering I Couldn’t go in the pools.
The food was really bad and repetitive we ended up having to eat out every day.
There is no late breakfast
No daytime entertainment like previously other hotels have done activities in the pool but I suppose the staff never wanted to get in as the pools were freezing
My older kids 17yrs and 14yrs and 18yrs came back and told me that a family were saying a man had tried breaking in to their room hotel staff were walking around looking for him but nothing was done about it.
My 8 yr old was shouted at for asking for an ice cream (all inclusive) the man shouted FINISHED at him so had him crying.
The place is meant to be a 4 star but I’ve genuinely stayed at better 3 star places
I was supposed to be staying at Orka sun life which is where my brother stayed and it’s much better. I booked through holiday gems and it’s was them that booked me in to orka world hotels when I thought I was booking orka sunlife. So be careful
All in all I would not recommend orka hotels at all.
I would never stay there again. Absolute waste of money. And very disappointed

After reading the reviews I did not have high hopes but after staying it wasn't as bad. Would say the pictures are quite misleading as you are on 3 different sites.
There were 17 in our group, and we were split between the main hotel and the annex. We stayed in the annex, could not fault the rooms at all. Very clean and modern, comfy beds and pillows. Lovely swim up rooms with their own sunbeds. Was very quiet round the pool area which was quite nice. The only downside to the annex is you are completely away from the main hotel so if you want food you need to cross a road and pass another hotel on the way to get there. There is a pool bar but only opens 10am -7pm.
Others in our group stayed in the 3 bed villas in the main hotel, from the outside they look nice but inside very dated compared to the annex and defiantly not as clean. These need a major revamp to match the standard of the annex. They have a marble staircase inside which is quite dangerous with children although there is a gate at the top of the stairs, I still had a panic every time a child walked down them!!
We spent most of the time in the main hotel as there was a small kids pool and obviously the food. 2 big pools which are nice.
Food.... it's pretty basic for an all-inclusive. Breakfast was ok pancakes, very small selection of fresh fruit, the normal eggs beans and their own sausages. Lunch we used the snack bar most of the time again ok burgers and chips, Lunch in the restaurant was jacket potatoes, chicken dishes etc but I did find what was left was used for dinner. Dinner, they did do some themed nights like Chinese, kebabs and a roast. It was ok.
The water park is about a 3-minute shuttle bus ride so not far but from the initial pictures I would assume this was in the grounds in the hotel. The water park is really nicely themed like Aladin, water slides and kids' area are really great. If you can get away with sneaking in drinks then great, wrap them in towels and hope for the best :)
Overall, we did have a nice holiday, but I wouldn't stay again only due to the number of improvements it needs to be a 4*

Room tip: Annex is much nicer

Big shout goes out to the Entertainment Team. They made the whole stay here so amazing, what a bunch of great Friendly people. Overall the Villa was a bit of a downer, in terms of cleaning was not up to standard. Food was ok. Dinks where fine. But My vote goes to the Entertainment team they made the whole stay so amazing..
