We stopped in for a bite of lunch and were delighted to find a table d'hote menu that was great value. Okay, it is a tad noisy but the service was great and the food good. We ordered caesar salad to start, then I had the sole and my two companions went for pasta; one bolognese and the other gambertini (aka seafood). My positions off the lunch menu were just the right size and the full orders satisfied the men's appetites.

Came here with family after a pre-wedding event. We were not the easiest group to handle with two being “elderly” siblings with their two adult daughters and my husband (the other sibling) and myself. It was mild chaos and the waiter did not help. He had a strange sense of humor that probably would work with a small table but with everyone on a different wave-length, he added to the confusion. Drinks were very slow to arrive and then the starters were there in an instant. We all shared the Caesar, a kale salad, and Frito Misto. All were very good. No one could make a decision so we shared two pasta dishes… the Bolognese and a tortellini. I thought the pasta was a bit overdone, but it was OK. We had a few wines-by-the-glass and one of us had a whisky (which she said was not the brand she ordered but the waiter didn’t tell her.) All in all, it was not a memorable meal. And, we kept asking, "who's busing the table?" No one.

This is a noisy place, lots of people having fun and enjoying being out.
We had dinner here twice; the food was so good, we ordered the same meal two nights in a row!
Each night, locals were having birthday celebrations...
sign of a good place.
We shared an appetizer of grilled shrimp, artichokes and spinach. Get some of the fine bread and use it to soak up the wine and lemon sauce in the bottom of the bowl.
Homemade noodles with bordelaise; the two of us couldn't finish it.
We sampled a dessert; mixed berry crisp with gelato.
Hard working staff

Sitting in the bar, looking our the window to the town. Town was smoky and ash was still falling from the fires 50 miles to our North. What a great way to get away from those images. The barkeep was quick, the rosé was wonderful.

My husband and I enjoyed our last dinner in Mill Valley before leaving California.
This place is really recommendable for a reasonable Italian dinner which tasted excellent. The spagetti with an authentic Italian sauce tasted delicious and my fish dish was very good. The place is in the center of Mill Valley, maybe a bit noisy if it gets crowded, but the tables by the window, facing the street are rather quiet. We would recommend that restaurant.
