Absolutely beautiful! Not a lot of tourists and beautiful views. You need to take a dip in the water!

I spent about 5 hours here, popped along on route to Trinidad. The guided trip to the upper park was good and we had plenty of time for a dip, photo opps. Guide was really friendly and took some great photos and video of me (solo traveler). I had lunch in the Rancho which was very reasonable and had the, usual for Cuba, live band (tips always welcomed). After lunch I went to the lower falls and spent time almost alone in the pools. The scenery of the lower falls area and walks along the river are not to be missed...don't just do the paid park bit as the lower section is just as good if not better for the lack of people.

The house where I was staying arranged this day trip and it turned out to be worth it. There's no entrance fee to get into the park (or none that I saw) and you can easily spend a few hours there. There's not much hiking to do and the park itself is pretty small so no more than a few hours is necessary. If you're willing to part with 5 CUC, the staff take you to the beginning of the river and a tiny cave.

What an amazing experience and well worth the 10CUC admission. As a senior with a knee problem I found the path and stairs a slight challenge but would not have wanted to miss these beautiful falls.

A pleasant 2+/- mile loop walk past several waterfalls, including one with a large pool for swimming.
