I loved the location right on the water of the hotel. You could wake down to a local beach and go for a swim. You must have transportation as it is a drive from town. Bar stays open as long as you're drinking. The maids do a fantastic job of making the rooms look better with flowers and towel art. My only sad point is they will only give you four towels a day. You can't trade a dirty towel in for a new one and if you want to go to the beach you've already gotten two dirty. Hopefully as they get more guests they will be able to provide more towels.

It is a shame this place is not better because the are some excellent staff members and the location whilst 18km outside Cienfuegos is great for those who want a more rural setting, unfortunately we had three vey significant issues:
1. My wife became very ill after eating from the breakfast buffet.
2. On returning to our room the second day we found that a bucket of dirty water had been emptied into our sink splashing all our toiletries including toothbrushes, luckily we spotted this before our room was cleaned so we could buy clean ones.
3. Finally the reception was unable to book a taxi big enough for us and our bike so we travelled to the bus station in a lada with no suspension with half the bikes hanging out of the boot.

Now this is Cuba so you expect some interesting experiences but this was by far the worst place we stayed during our visit and left us wishing we had booked someone in town or a nearby casa. On the plus side there is a very friendly wine waiter with a lovely singing voice.

Room Tip: Ask for sea view on first floor

We arrived before 11 in the morning firstly to be told check in wasn't until 4, then to be told that we only had a reservation for the second night. 2 hours of arguing and calls to "commercial" still led to no room except for the second night. This and other experiences we had and heard about means I would not recommend Cuba to the independent traveller. Everything is set up for coach parties and the independent traveller is regarded as a pain.

Apart from this the hotel is clean and tidy. Food just about adequate.

The hotel was clean and the accommodations were fine. The meals were a little odd as you have to purchase anything you want to drink--- water, tea, etc. The views of the water were beautiful from the porch outside the dining area and from the pool area. The pool was large and well maintained.

Stopped over for a night here travelling from Trinidad to Cienfuegos.

Hotel was nice and clean. The food on offer wasn't great, I'd recommend eating elsewhere. But very close to the beach which has amazing views.
