If you are into fine sushi - pass.

If you really are dying for sushi and need a fix - it's ok - nothing special or fancy.

A bit over priced - maybe we are spoiled in LA

We have stayed in Wailea several times. We always enjoy at least one meal at Kai. They are accommodating to our 5, 3, and 1-year-olds. The child's plate has several things, so even a picky kid shouldn't go hungry. If they do, you can always take them to Lapperts for ice cream afterward. The sushi is really good. The presentation is always pretty. I highly recommend.

This restaurant is in the Wailea shopping center by the Marriott and Grand Wailea. It was good. I fact the Salmon was really really good. We did not have a huge meal but the sashimi was fresh nd the California roll used real crab and it was just a nice meal. service was adequate.

We chose Kai because it was within walking distance of our resort and there are other shops around it. The food was good, and the service was attentive & friendly. They have a large selection on their menu so there is something for everyone.

Nice ambiance , great sashimi but the rolls were mushy and did not taste very good. Definitely does not live up to the hype.
Try Sushi Paradise or Sansei if you're looking for better quality.
