Excellent tour Carlos today, his English is fabulous and the tour informative and very hands on tasting and smelling everything from the start. The tasting session afterwards was a bonus and my husband loved your brownies! Well worth a trip, just off the main square, $10 per person and last normal tour is 5pm I think.

Did the chocolat tour. We arrived at 6 and we could start the tour right away. It was very interesting, even tough sometimes it was hard to follow the guide with a strong accent. We loved the brownie at the tasting at the end. Went back the next day to get another one.

The chocolate here is astounding! Ecuador produces among the finest cacao - some would say the finest - in the world. And this is the spot to experience the entire process in a compelling, engaging way and have more tastes than you probably should!

Of course you can purchase endless varieties of their product here but do not be surprised if when you take it home your friends snatch it.

Their is also a restaurant and bar onsite with good food

Set up on a hill just off the main square, the restaurant/café is pretty, with hanging plants and wooden features. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the coffee very good. The little tasty treats on the menu and the coffee are both pricey but you can spend a lot of time there. I wanted a chocolate cookie but they had run out so I was offered a brownie. Expecting a chocolatey cake affair, imagine my delight when I was presented with a gooey, chocolatey (very) delight which literally melted in my mouth. I had heard the brownies were good!! You may be visited by a cat from the café next door, which is also nice. As for people, it is mainly tourists who dine and take coffee there but it is lovely. You may meet the owner an affable Ecu-American.
