Like staying in a pub. A bit gross, attracts a lot of drunk creepers (local and foreign). Pizza is good but call in advance to see if the ovens are on - they only serve pizza if they have cheese, and they often run out. Coffee is instant. Toilets are disgusting.

The hotel is in a great location. The hotel has its own jetty so it’s very easy to get there from the airport and arrange transport to other islands. It is also opposite the markets which are on everyday, except Sunday. You can get fresh fruit and veggies there, cakes/bread and hot food (if you’re willing to try).

It is vey noisy in the rooms. Lots of road noise, church bells and noise from other rooms. Had one night were we were banging on the wall to get the neighbours to be quiet.

The restaurant is next door upstairs. It is open for all meals. A continental breakfast is included with the booking but you have to pay for a cooked breakfast. Restaurant prices are similar to back home in Australia, except for the seafood which is cheaper.

Wifi is only available at reception.

The air conditioning in the room was very good. Kettle and microwave are provided.

I can not comment on the pool as it was out of action for maintenance.

Contrary to its description, there is no ‘beach front’. There is water but no beach. The entire area is lined with boats. There is no beach in Gizo.

Additionally, there is nothing to do in Gizo.
