Do NOT let the outside appearance mislead you. While their main purpose is a bar with a live band, and their menu isn't extensive, the steaks we had were significantly larger than the listed weight, the appetizers, although standard bar fare (cheese sticks, chicken tenders, breaded mushrooms) they were perfectly prepared, with ample portions for the price, with in house made ranch and honey mustard sauces. the steaks were served sizzling on cast iron griddles, and were cooked exactly as ordered when they arrived. (If you don't want yours to continue cooking past your preference, move it to another plate until the cast iron cools a bit.)
The side items were nothing exceptional, but were well prepared and presented, in generous portions.
The ONLY down side was that we had a restaurant.com voucher for the first $25.00 of our check, and were told at first that the manager (who was not there) had instructed the waitstaff not to honor the vouchers. However, both of the servers in our section made it seem as though the manager was new and wasn't familiar with the vouchers and/or how to redeem them.
After some very polite discussion, they decided to honor the voucher.
All's well that ends well, and this experience certainly did.
It shouold be mentioned that we were there just after opening time, and were one the first of 4 tables that were served while we were there. i am sure that later in the evening, the atmosphere would be much more boisterous.
We will most certainly go to Outlaw's again if we are nearby early in the evening.
