The hostess asked us to take a seat in the bar while they cleared a table by the window. Nice selection of meat, game and fish. Salads with greens so fresh the chef must have a deal with the local market. Great food and an incomparable view. Don't miss it.

We had a great seat by a window overlooking the mountains after the free beer tasting downstairs and visiting with one of the brewmasters. I really liked the Blueberry Ale so I ordered a pint upstairs $4.50. Not bad, that is what I expected to pay in a tourist town in the mountains.
It was lunch time on Saturday so the place was packed. We were impressed how hard the help was working after owning our own restaurant for seventeen long years.
Food was good for bar food. My bride had a cheeseburger and I enjoyed a brat on a very good bun with sauerkraut. next time I will try pizza.
It is a fun place, a bit noisy but it is a party place.

Service was horrible. Because it is a brewery I asked the waitress of the different styles of beers they have. Instead of answering, she just through the menus on the table, rolled her eyes and walked away. My wife's appetizer got served after our entrees. Food was not good at all. Even with a positive attitude there is nothing good to write about that place.

We had been hiking all day and were ready for a relaxing dinner over drinks. We first stopped downstairs for free beer samples (a positive, since most places charge for a flight). The IPA was their standout...

We then headed up stairs to eat. The service was fast...too fast. We ordered the buffalo burger and fish and chips. Our food came in less than 10 minutes, and I'm pretty sure was made on a little grill & fryer downstairs where the beer is poured, not in a proper kitchen. You could tell the burger was frozen, and it didn't taste delicious like the bison burgers I make at home. It had a weird taste to it. Fish & chips are hard to mess up, so that wasn't too bad.

Since our food came so fast, we wanted to order another drink so that our dinner experience could last longer than a 1/2 hour. As we took our last bites and sips, the server put the check on our table, which made the decision for us.

Instead, we had after dinner drinks at Big Beaver Brewery in Mary's Lodge. Very classy, great view, delicious beer, & attentive bartender. Go there instead & don't waste your time at Estes Park Brewery.

The whole place needs an overhaul. It's an old yellow building that is nothing special and is old and worn out in the inside too. The staff matched the rest of the place. We had walked to it from the main street and wished we'd not taken the time to find it. We walked in the door from the parking lot and up the steps to a seedy looking room with a bunch of t-shirts hanging and a counter at the end. It was apparently a sampling counter. We just wanted to get a beer and relax a bit and we had to ask three people working there where the bar actually was and how to find it. Nobody ever approached us in any way to greet us. We finally found our way up some narrow stairs past a couple of brew kegs to a room with pool tables, a bar, and a few tables. We sat at the bar and although three people were suppposedly working the bar we could hardly get a beer. There were only four customers at the bar and one booth of three people in the whole place. The bartenders were busy talking and had no interest in waiting on us. In fact we were ready to leave when someone finally decided to see what we wanted. We couldn't even get a menu. We finally got our beer, didn't order a snack, and asked where the beer garden was as we really didn't want to stay at the cramped bar. Well, it's really no beer garden. There are three awful tables sitting out on a piece of wood out by the back kitchen door. Torn plastic was hanging from some wood planks for a cover. The beer was overpriced and the service terrible. While we were out there one of the bartenders came out the door, had a quick beer and part of a cigarette and went back in to work. That was a bit strange. I'd say don't bother to even stop I know we won't.
