On September 3, 2022 my wife and I traveled 15 hours to stay in Estes Park at Coyote Mountain Lodge to do some hiking in the area. I had made reservations at the hotel in July and had an email confirmation from their hotel (#CMLCO319****). Upon arrival late in the evening on Labor Day Weekend, we were told they could not find us in their system. The city was at full capacity and their were not other rooms to be found, forcing us to incur an hour drive to Boulder, hundreds of dollars in extra trip costs and the stress of replanning our trip and hikes. The clerk stated they had changed their computer system and lost our reservation, despite me showing it to him on their own business e-mail letterhead with a confirmation number. The manager later called me and called the episode an "inconvenience". They dod not offer to assist in finding an alternative location for us late on a holiday weekend. I'm not a young man anymore and was quite tired after the long trip. The service to assist me and my wife was terrible, no help, no compensation to cover our additional expenses and stress. I would not recommend Coyote Mountain Lodge.

We checked into a family room with 2 TVs and had no remote controls for either. The staff was unable to offer any help. At one point the person at the front desk said the manager (who was not there) would probably offer us a partial refund for the inconvenience. He said the manager would call the next day.

You guessed it, the manager never called and no adjustment on our rate was given.

On our next trip to Estes Park we will not stay at this place.

Coyote is the low end budget hotel. The room used an electric space heater for heat.
The front check-in showed hours open until 10 PM. The neighbors in the adjacent room were screaming and fighting after an evening of drinking. I called the front desk at 9:30. No answer. I called the emergency number posted. I explained the neighbors were fighting. She said she would call the police. Nothing. Finally I called 911. Police came immediately. 10 minutes after they left, fighting resumed. I called 911 again. The drunk woman was arrested. Finally my wife and I got some sleep.

We needed an inexpensive place to stay for one night in Estes Park and this fit the bill and exceeded expectations! Our Coyote Double Queen room was clean, renovated nicely, appointed with everything we needed and very cozy. Staff was super friendly at check in and check out. We look forward to returning when we can stay longer.

We stayed in a two queen for one night. The room was well cleaned and looked newly renovated. The price was great for a quick weekend and the location was very convenient. lake Estes is a 15 min walk which was great for the pup. There is a $20 nonrefundable pet fee. Breakfast was fine with fruit, muffins, and frozen omelettes/sausage. Front desk was nice and gave us an early checkin.
