I wasn't expecting to stay at such an old motel. No microwave or coffee pot or dresser or hair dryer. Had to ask for soap and toilet paper. The tv was on a side wall so only one person can see it. Only one outlet was 3 prong which I needed. What a place!

Room Tip: All hotels are booked during summer. If u come book way in advance.

Just got back from staying 4 nights at Columbine Inn. I could not in good faith give it more than 2 'stars'. The people who run it are nice enough. It is clean. The problem is it is just too small. I had a 1 bed room. There was barely enough room to walk around the bed to the bathroom. No storage. No microwave. No little coffee maker. Just a tiny room with a bed, which would be okay but the price is too high for what you receive.

The room was very clean and well laid out. The Inn is very close to the amazing places in Estes Park but manages to feel like a quiet oasis away from the crowd. It was the perfect place for my wife and I to stage our Rocky Mountain Park adventure.

Ok the columbine is actually extremely clean, small, quaint, and well maintained.

Now there's the screen door at your room, a tv monitor, and pine cone wall paper. It's really a throw back to yesteryear. You literally pull up to your room. Continental breakfast, quick access to Estes and rocky mtn national park, you're good to go.

My wife and I just needed to get away and didn't make any firm plans as to where we were going to stay on this trip to Colorado. The Columbine was in the price range we were looking for, so we called ahead the day before to see if they had a room available for our stay in Estes Park, Co.. John answered and said they did not have any double queen size but did have a room with just one queen. We opted for the single queen, not needing two beds for just my wife and myself. The room was small but had a nice large bathroom with tub, shower and a large vanity top. The bathroom was very clean and the bed comfortable. John the host was very accommodating and informed us of places we might enjoy going to for dinner.

If you are looking for a five star with all the amenities. This place may not be for you. There are no in room coffee pots, microwaves ( at least not in our room) however there was a small refrigerator. I understand there is a continental breakfast but it does not start until around 7:30am.That is too late for us because we like to get up and get going to see the sights. It did have a small TV. It is basic and just a nice clean place to stay. There was a ceiling fan and we liked that because it is what we are used to at home.We did get a look at one of the double bed rooms and it was very spacious.

I would recommend that you don't leave your windows open at night or while you are away. They are all on the ground level and would be very easy to break into. We shut and locked the sliding window in our room.

All in all it was a nice clean room and our stay was pleasant. It is within minutes of downtown Estes. We were shocked at how much the price of lodging has gone up since our last trip several years ago so it is much better to plan ahead for lodging.
