We paid a price which was equal to a 4 star hotel only to find a worn out, poorly planned, dingy hotel. Dirty windows so you could not even enjoy the mountain views. Carpets which were disgustingly worn and dirty. Popcorn ceiling finishes left from the old days. Decals pasted on the doors with glue and worn edges. Elevators dirty and creaking. Large garbage containers inside the hotel access door-bad odors. Don't be fooled by the website photos, it is not reality. One positive is that the employees were friendly and helpful.

We were unfortunate enough to spend two nights in this overpriced Hotel. check-in was from 4 pm and the line was out the door. carpets dirty and almost threadbare in the public spaces and the rooms.

Couldn’t open the window in the bedroom and maintenance had to come and even then it opened only 2 inches. The lighting in the room was very gym and the bedside light was in a position that you would bang your head on it every time you’ve got out of bed.
No proper cleaning of rooms just change of towels and emptying of bins . beds were left unmade.

All I can say is WOW! What a great surprise. I stayed at this hotel quite a few years ago before it was acquired by the current owners. It was a dump back then and I’ve never even looked at staying there again. My girlfriend and I were on a 3 day bike tour this week. The tour company booked us into this hotel. When we were pulling into the parking lot on our bikes I cringed and told everyone to be prepared for a horrible experience. But as soon as we walked into the lobby it was clear this was a different place from what it was many years ago. The transformation by the new owners is amazing. This place was great! Everyone in our group loved it. I will stay here again on the next visit to Estes Park and highly recommend it to others.
