Plenty of food options that offer the college atmosphere. A little pricey, but delicious. Early morning Bagel place says it opens at 6:30 AM on Saturdays, but the ignored me when I knocked on the locked door at 6:38 AM. Brown's campus book store is a must-visit if you are checking out the university. As long as you avoid the bagel place, you cannot go wrong.

I always visit "T Street" when I'm in town. It's chock full of great little restaurants and shops. Good place to people watch, too.

Visiting Thayer Street, one immediately knows that you are in a college town! The entire vibe is college! It's shops, restaurants, and, services, are geared to the upwardly mobile Brown crowd.
I especially enjoyed eating here, and, parousing through the Brown University book shop,( where I found terrific books and bought my new laptop), which sits on this street.
Nice and casually collegiate, go, you will enjoy it!

Off the beaten path but busy nonetheless, most enjoyable with many dining and shopping options. High energy district

Lots of shopping and places to eat. Nice quaint feel. I liked it, but a person can only shop so much on vacation. My suitcases do not have a whole lot of extra room to bring things home!
