Can't beat the views and we enjoyed our stay but the room had a few quirks:
1) The shower was weak. I know you're trying to save water but it doesn't help if you have to take twice as long to get the soap off. Also, you couldn't adjust the position of the spray. I was in an accessible room and have no mobility problems so I'm not sure how that shower would have worked for someone with mobility issues.
2) The window in the bathroom had a semi-sheer curtain so anyone at the back of the property could see in at night. At the least they should have put up a cheap blind so that people going up and down the back stairs couldn't see in.
3) The dresser in the bedroom was musty and the family didn't feel comfortable putting my clothes in there so we lived out of our suitcases for our stay.
But none of these were deal breakers for my family (although the poor shower was a bit frustrating) and we enjoyed the scenery and seclusion.

If you are looking for the Ritz Carlton, this isn't the place. If you are looking for a comfortable, cozy, affordable Down East place to stay, this is it. We stayed in the cabin. The beds were comfy, kitchen was stocked with pots/pans/etc. The grounds were gorgeous. The West Quoddy light was a 2 min drive. Check in was a breeze. it was near perfect.

We booked 3 nights , two in the Camp. We left early the next morning. The place was absolutely filthy. Under the beds were huge lumps of dog fur mixed with huge clumps of dust, dirt and food. The lamps in the bedroom were covered in dust. The floors were dirty as well. Clearly no one had cleaned behind the end tables, baseboards, or under beds. Baseboards and corners were covered in dog fur, dirt and dust. This in the middle of a pandemic, did not give us confidence that any amount of cleaning was done in between guests. It’s too bad, because the place was cute, quiet and in a wonderful location. Also we were bitten by fleas as well. No excuse for filth at any price, but especially at 160$ a night. We couldn’t leave fast enough. Awful night.

Management response:Responded 8 July 2020

This is an exaggerated rant. Yes, there were some"dust bunnies" under the beds. We have self check in [and out] to provide safe distancing for our guests. Specific, detailed check in instructions are provided as well as posted on an entrance bulletin board. Upon arrival, the guest did not have the correct location, resulting in guest confusion and disgruntlement. The guests argued loudly, disturbing guests in other buildings. The office was never contacted after arrival , not knowing of any problem, until emailing their departure in the morning. Guests who stayed here, both before and after, did not have this experience. Especially during these times, many guests have complimented us on our cleanliness.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at West Quoddy Station and highly recommend the Crews Quarters. There is plenty of room for two couples and perhaps even three, and the view from the LARGE deck is incomparable. It is a tremendous value and totally worth it. Bill gave us plenty of tips on things to do and places to eat before we got there, and he makes for a good tour guide. An absolute gem!

Room tip: The Crews Quarters is excellent!

As a lighthouse fan, the West Quoddy Lighthouse has always been on my "must see" list. Imagine my joy, when I learned that I could actually stay on the property. Easy check in and out. Rustic, but as expected for the lighthouse station...Treat yourself to a unique stay and be sure to check out the unique town of Lubec, Maine
