We spent 2 nights at the Cohills Inn in late September, close to the end of their season. Location across the street from the wharf was terrific, with beautiful views of the water from our room. Host was very friendly, and check-in was easy. In this time of Covid, we appreciated that the owner required full vaccinations for guests. Yes, there are no elevators, so luggage had to be carried up to the 3rd floor, but that was no problem for us. Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Appreciated the frig, but would have also liked a small microwave. Bathroom could use more towel bars or rings, but towels and shower were great. If you travel to Lubec late in the season, be aware that there may not be many restaurants to be open, but there is a grocery store close by. Overall, I’d recommend Cohills to anyone.

We were warmly greeted and handed our code for the room lock. Our room #9 on the third floor. which has the full view of the water. That was the best at Cohill's Inn. Climbing outside and inside stairs, along with luggage, and the few times we left the room, gave us our workout for the day. No ADA here it is an old waterfront building.
The hallway shows its age & dreary. The room has outdated/worn few pieces of furniture, antique t.v., a very small bathroom. The bed was comfortable and leaving the windows opened brought comfort, as well.
Only staying one night was okay for no-frills.

The Inn is a great location with lovely views of Bay of Fundy. It is your basic room with comfy bed but the walls are thin. I could hear ‘snoring’ in the next room. I’m a light sleeper and have learned to pack earplugs.

The restaurant is open limited days of the week and hours; check ahead. The food offerings say “Small Plate” but don’t be fooled. You will not walk away hungry. The food is excellent.

Room tip: Some parking on the street but limited. Prepare to park dockside and carry luggage up a couple flight of stairs.

We stayed a couple of nights to round off a month in Maine. Fantastic view of Canada right out of the window, and a comfortable bed. This was right in the middle of the COVID chaos, so sadly we didn't get to sample the restaurant. But I'd recommend it for anyone who wants to venture to the Eastern edge of the USA.

Stayed at Cohill's Inn so we would get an early start visiting Campobello Island. Room was on the 3rd floor with no elevator but for us that was no problem. Check-in was simplified by having the room code, wifi, etc on a small card handed to us with the exterior key. And that was it! Room and bathroom were very clean. Some of the furniture appeared to be of the yard sale type, used but functional. Bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. While we didn't need it, there was a very substantial down comforter that would certainly keep you warm in winter. Had difficulty with the key to the front door the next morning, Thankfully the owner was coming downstairs and let us in. There are rooms that face the bay and others that face the house next door, with view of the water if stretch to see it. Don't know if you could have requested a water-view or not.

Room tip: Water view is on the front of the hotel
