The Pima Air and Space Museum is one of the largest privately owned air museums in the world. They are open every day except for Thanksgiving and Christmas. There are many, many aircraft to look at, including a former Air Force One from the Kennedy era as well as Korean war and Vietnam war era planes. There are also many interesting exhibits inside hangars and a WWII barracks. You could easily spend a whole day here if you are an aviation buff. Even if you are not an aviation buff, it is still a very interesting museum and worth a visit. You can also arrange for a visit to the "Boneyard" which is located nearby at Davis- Monthan Air Force Base. Parking is free. They do have a snack bar/restaurant but we didn't go to it. If it is hot outside, make sure that you bring bottled water and a hat.
