What an excellent find. Very nice, charming, enchanting. Lovely little place, off the beaten path. Nice to get away from your regular hotels. OK, this place is a B&B, European style. The owners, sisters, live here. Thy have a room (1), they rent out. Ohhh, they also have four dogs, they bark, but once they get to know you they are fine. A few cats also, mostly outside, but a couple inside, fine also. All they do is sleep.
Gorgeous room. Nice king or queen, don't remember, very comfy. Nice size room, well furnished. The frig was well stocked in the room. Had beer, wine, cheese plate, soda, water and juice, all for no extra charge. Ohhh, alsomhad a jar of fresh homemade cookies, yumm... Restroom was very clean, just like home.
Breakfast was excellent. Had yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee, juice, muffins, egg soufflé?? with mushroom.
Next time I drive by or happen to visit Tucson, I'll stay here.

My husband's and my stay at the Sonoran Respite this summer suited our needs and convenience perfectly. The air-conditioned room, with its private bath, was nicely decorated, clean, spacious, and had many extras, including a four-poster queen bed, books to read, comfortable and ample seating, and -- provided daily -- drinks and homemade snacks. Even though they have several cats and dogs, the owners diligently preserve the privacy and calm of the surroundings. Because of the culinary training of one of the proprietors, the breakfasts were delicious and healthy. There is just one guest room, so we could enjoy breakfast at a time of our choosing.

As well, the beautiful Reid Park with its extensive walking trails, grounds, zoo, ball park, & swimming pools is within easy walking distance.

I highly recommend the Sonoran Respite for your stay in Tucson!

This B&B is on a quiet residential street. They have just one guest room. It is large and comfortable, is decorated in Southwestern style, and has its own bathroom. One of the sisters running the B&B was trained as a professional chef. This shows in the breakfast. You must like animals to stay here. They have 5 cats and 4 dogs (not allowed in the guest room, but you can play with them elsewhere inside the house). The only thing I could say negative is that the sisters are extremely early to bed and early to rise. When you come back from a day of touring, even if you haven't had dinner yet they may have already turned in. So any time you may want to spend chatting with them should be in the morning.
