This is the second time I've stayed at La Posada. The same issues that hampered my first stay have, still, not been fixed. First, the positives: The rooms are spotless and check-in/out is a breeze. Also, the front desk staff is very attentive. Now, the negatives: PARKING. The hotel's parking area is narrow and difficult to maneuver *if* you can find a space. All three nights I had to park in the neighboring facility's lot. Perhaps parking is easier during the weekday (?). Very frustrating. Also frustrating is the weak Wi-Fi signal and the fact that it randomly cuts off for a few minutes. It does this at least every 10 minutes. I went to the business center down the street to complete my projects. Overall, a very nice facility. However, the aforementioned problems are frustrating enough, to me, that I will not return. If the problem issues mean less to you then I recommend this hotel.

La Posada is a small boutique hotel along a very busy concourse. The building is awash in stucco and decorated beautifully with local Mexican hand-painted tiles, art, and woodwork. The grounds are well-kept and the pool sparking clean. My room was just a standard king but it was spacious and clean with a microwave, small fridge, fresh-smelling sheets and a hand-painted headboard with a scene of Mexican lovers on a ranch. I wanted to take that headboard home with me! My only complaint is that the light switches are oddly placed. You have to enter the bathroom and close the door in order to turn the light on and we left the lights on in the room all night to avoid stubbed toes in the dark because the light switch is all the way across the room. Anyway, the location is excellent; just a few minutes drive (or 1/2 mile walk) to PLENTY of restaurants and shopping; less than 10 minutes drive to the I-10. La Posada's restaurant Miguel served fresh and delicious food at a reasonable price with excellent service and their margaritas were scrumptious. When I checked in, the front desk clerk warned me that a wedding reception would be taking place at the hotel and it may be noisy until midnight, but it was not noisy at all and it did not affect parking. La Posada is a great hotel for anything from a romantic weekend getaway to a small event. HIGHLY recommended.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are great!

Lovely rooms with interesting rooms. Definitely not a chain-feel. Breakfast and business center are next door at Hampton Inn, a few steps away. Pool and whirlpool are clean and well-kept. My large family stayed in something like 40% of the rooms and it was great fun. Price was reasonable, but that may be because I'm comparing to recent stays in DC and NYC! Definitely would go again.

what a bargain! gorgeous room and bathroom, large balcony overlooking the garden/pool area and view of mountains, very clean, beautiful pool and good free breakfast (next door at another hotel, steps away).
the only downside in my opinion is that it's a little far away from the downtown area.
other than that, i would highly recommend!

Used to stay here once/month. They have reservation issues all the time, tonight I was offered a substandard room at the Best Western b/c they messed up (again) Breakfast used to be good, now it's not worth getting up for. Miguel's still serving same lame dinner menu 5 yrs, they don't know what to do with business travelers, they've lost me for good!
