Head upstairs first! They have a lovely collection worth a little walk from a parking garage near the U of A campus

This is a relatively small museum, but had wonderful representation of famous artists. It was very enjoyable and could be seen in an hour or two.

Serene atmosphere and very cozy. Students of all ages are free. A hidden jewel of the U of A. The museum is adjacent to the Marroney Theater on campus. Visited the Museum of Art with my daughter. Took joy in the artwork. Memorable experience. Will return.

This two-story art museum on the corner edge of the university offers surprisingly compelling exhibits. My favorite was about art conservation, such as how to protect art from water damage, termites, vandalism, etc. I was engrossed by each of the pieces used to tell the story, which was also surprisingly candid. One bare frame used to hold a famous painting stolen from the museum before cameras were installed. Another exhibit included artists identified by the Nazis as enemies of their sick state, Picasso and other famous names among them. I liked the concept of celebrating these artists while exposing this piece of history I hadn't heard about. The exhibits aren't very big, mostly one large room each. But they are interesting and diverse. This is a great place to spend an hour.

Easy to access also with bus which stops just outside entrance on Speedway. I spent a couple of hours enjoying a small but varied collection of great artwork. The history of Arizona is well presented, and there are several benches, from which you can study the artwork. Water bottles have to be left downstairs in the reception area.
