Stayed here for just one night but wish it could have been longer. The room was very spacious and bathrooms were updated and modern. Everything was spotless. The pools were fantastic, especially the huge jacuzzi and fun pool with a slide. Tons of lounge chairs and room to spread out. The gym had a lot of equipment with plenty of cardio machines. We ate at the tapas restaurant on site which had a very good selection of interesting dishes, great service and reasonable prices (especially for a hotel restaurant). Everything was convenient with short walks between buildings.

Room Tip: building B was well located

Recently had the opportunity to stay at the Westin La Paloma. The property is beautiful and spread out at the base of the Catalina mountains. The property is great for conventions and there were several while we were there.

At check in Lynsey took care of us and was so nice and friendly. She explained the layout of the resort and the amenities on property. The buildings of rooms are spread around the resort and up hills. It can be difficult to carry your luggage to your room if you have a lot from the parking garage. She asked a bellman to help and he was helping another guest, so the Director of Engineering, Phil got a cart and helped us with the luggage, he was a really nice guy. At this point we are thrilled with the service.

Our room had a nice balcony and view of the mountains. The room was very clean and comfortable. We walked around the property to see the pools, the spa, the fitness room, the coffee bar and restaurant.

We sat down in the bar area off the lobby to have a coffee because the coffee bar closes late morning. The bartender seemed to be a bit annoyed that he had to walk to the restaurant to get the coffee, not a friendly guy. We were tired from a long day, so headed out to the pool bar to grab a light bite for dinner. We met Heather, ordered drinks and a pizza to take back to the room, she was great and very accommodating.

The next day we headed out to explore Tucson and when we got back to our room to change to meet friends, housekeeping had been in and our room was great. The next day, we were out and about too and we got back to clean up for dinner, they hadn't cleaned our room, we had to call to get fresh towels. Our last day in town, we were spending by the pool. Again the service at the pool for drinks and food was friendly and excellent. The quality of the food was great.

They have a large pool with a waterslide for the kiddos and then an adult pool with a waterfall.

Back at the room to dress for dinner and again, no housekeeping. As we were getting ready for dinner they showed up to clean the room. Seriously, we have been out all day and now when we are getting ready for dinner, you want to come in, not happy.

They have valet parking or self-parking. The rooms are not close by, so you will have a hike with your luggage unless you get bell service. In my opinion, this resort is not easy for those with limited mobility or wheelchair bound guests due to the rooms being scattered on hills around the property. I found the service to be inconsistent, but the employees that were great, were great and we enjoyed them.

We stayed at this resort from 08/24/2017- 08/27/2017. We were given room G 427 which was super hot the whole time as the AC wasn’t working and no action was taken to fix it. On 08/26 we came back to a water puddle in the middle of the room which we were told was caused the AC condensation and the AC was in fact not working. We were then asked to move to room C 255 on 08/26 evening and as we packed up and moved rooms. On Sunday 08/27 my husband and I woke up with tiny red bumps on our feet and legs. when we removed the blankets, the bed was covered in bed bugs. We had to leave for the airport at 4:30 in the morning so I did not complain then but I sent them an email on 08/28/2017 with the pictures as proof. I did not hear back anything from anyone at the resort. Very disappointed in the customer service and overall resort experience.

First a disclaimer--I was at this resort less than 24 hours to speak at a conference being held there.
The place was nice enough-not impressive but fine. My biggest impression was how disengaged the staff was--not rude, not blatantly incompetent--just a certain aloofness.
I try to expect the best from every person, and hope I'm not being too harsh. But the consistency of emotional distance was striking.

Usually the conferences I attend in Tucson use the Marriott Star Pass, this time it was at the Westin which I had never stayed before and frankly looking forward to visiting as the Palm Springs Westin is fantastic.

When you pull up it presents itself nicely great staff at check in. From there it went downhill. First the whole resort in general is worn and dated, The rooms really tired, looks like new carpet and drapes at one time but for the price point it's a disappointment.

Then remember this is a Westin Resort well in the bathrooms they provide plastic cups wrapped in cellophane now I have worked all my life not to stay at a Motel 6 with cheap plastic glasses. AND THEN to top that off the next day when I returned to my room the maid did not replace the used plastic cups you have to be kidding me. And yes I am writing Marriott.

They have a coffee bar off the lobby but open very limited hours really? The balance is pretty much resort food and beverage lower end of the quality scale must be in keeping with the plastic cups.

Suggestion book the Marriott Star Pass they keep that place updated

Room Tip: Don't stay
