I visited Pete's while in town for the Fiesta (festival). We arrived about 7:45 on a Sunday morning and there was no wait. There is ample free parking at the restaurant. The restaurant is average size with bar seating. The staff was friendly and quick. I ate a barbacoa taco with cilantro, onions and avocado on a corn tortilla and a eggs, beans, bacon taco on a flour tortilla. Both were delicious. The corn and flour tortillas tasted homemade and fresh. My husband ordered a barbacoa taco with cheese and avocado and I carne asada taco with cheese. Both were pretty good to him. The green salsa was yummy too and not to spicy. Over all delicious and quick breakfast. Pretty reasonable on the prices too; we paid $18 for 1 coffee and 4 tacos.

We came here on Friday morning for a quick breakfast. The tacos were very good and we had great service. It was cheap too, so that's always a plus! We came back on Sunday before we headed home, but it was very crowded so we got ours to go. Will definitely come back here next time we are in town!

Since we had a late lunch we were just looking for a simple dinner near downtown - and this fit the bill. House margaritas were excellent (even if blended) and cheap. Food was tasty - enchiladas verde we can recommend. No issues with our toddler, they have high chairs. Staff were friendly and efficient. You pay at the bar after finishing. There's a small outdoor area. Not much else right around this place - pretty quiet urban/industrial area near the River Walk. We felt safe walking to/from downtown hotel even at night.

Started brunch with a fantastic horchata. That and the tasty tortia chips were the highlight. Ordered a menudo that came with domino sized pieces of tripa. Way too big. Also, the caldo was nearly tasteless. It appeared to be a powdered mix. Lastly, we ordered two barbacoa tacos. They were giant sized but had no taste. They seem to substitute size for flavor. Oh, I forgot, the guacamole was bland.

small local restaurant with great food and service. i would say to go with the flour tortilla, made on site and really special. The corn tortillas were good too, i just prefer the flour.
