Loved the Southwestern Reading Room, very elegant and tons of resources. The beautiful tables and art make it an grand place to rest and renew away from the hustle and bustle of the Plaza. It's a way to explore authors and artists of NM and all of the Southwest.

This is a feel-good place, as comfortable as a pair of well-worn slippers, and equally as inviting. We stopped here to visit the part of the library that handles book sales and walked away with some prized reads. It is a small part of the library but well worth the visit.

So much of the library welcomes you. The upper level houses the childrens' books, while a large main room downstairs is adorned wih an interesting sculpture of a horse with children on his back. Young patrons were resting comfortably in the near-by chairs (true testament to its welcoming and home-style nature).

The research room is so serious; how could anyone disturb that solitude? Some major fact-finding was in progress there. The room is well-appointed, heavy on the wood accents and furniture, and conducive to meditation and solitude.

This library was a special pace and we are so glad we happened upon the library and spent some time there. It is, after all, what makes a city what it is.

If you're killing time in Santa Fe, the local library is worth a quick visit. I was disappointed to find that I wasn allowed to remove a book even though I was in town for a week and owned a Chicago library card as well.

I used to work in a library so I like to visit libraries when I'm in a different state or city.
This is a well stocked, quiet, and inviting library. The staff was kind and informative.

I really appreciate and like the Santa Fe Public Library. The system works really well and the staff I've met have been outstanding folks. The on-line catalog and system for finding, reserving and renewing materials, works quite well.
I rate the downtown library a 3 only because of parking. Between the lack of spaces, the fact that it is all paid parking in the area and then the typically broken parking meter, my experiences have been frustrating, but only downtown. LaFarge and Southside Branches have ample, free parking so its easy to avoid downtown and still have access to the entire collection.
