Lunch on an umbrella-ed patio after the bustle of the "touristy" Plaza was a treat. We can highly recommend the Mezze plate and a delectable Quiche Lorraine. There is inside dining as well as a bakery counter with lovely offerings. Prices were not astronomical but not cheap.

We only ate at Burro Alley one evening for dinner; although we planned to eat in the patio, the evening 'breeze' was too much and we retreated to a table inside. The food was good, the portions generous and the service very friendly. On a mid-week evening after the start of a concert at the Performance Center across the alley, the place was almost deserted. I think the reason is that at the present time (summer 2012) Burro Alley does not have a license for serving alcoholic beverages. Our server said that the owners were trying to get a license sometime later in 2012. So, if you must have a drink with dinner, check with Burro Alley to see if their quest has been succesful.

This is not five-star dining, but the items we enjoyed were very good and were reasonably priced.

Remembering a wonderful French bistro located on this same street from last visit several years ago, we meandered along looking for the former only to learn it is gone and right nearby is this place with some of the same staff and practically in the same location. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, comfortable, cozy, nice varied menu with a nice bakery indoors and really terrific, knowledgeable waitstaff. We were not at all disappointed in our food choices and prices are quite reasonable. Pizza, French onion soup, a mezzo Middle Eastern combo salad platter plus coffee and pastries fit the bill and did not disappoint. We would definitely return and highly recommend it to others. Thanks Burro Alley Cafe staff for a great job well done!

The food in this restaurant was outstanding. The service was very good as well. I had eggs benedict for lunch and the hollandaise sauce was perfect. Subtle flavor but not too wimpy. My wife and I both loved our meals and will return to this restaurant. You should eat at this restaurant.
