We had the fried tilapia and the garlic shrimp. The dinner, which arrived quickly from a cheerful waiter, was delicious! Desert of Tres Leches cake was right out of the kitchen and didn't last long on our table before being completely eaten, not even leaving a crumb. The Red Enchilada was also a great value, especially compared to other Santa Fe restaurants.

Aside from the meth addict panhandling out front for food and gasoline, this place was a real find. The men got the El Patron plate with skirt steak and beans, guacamole and grilled shrimp, and the ladies got the enchilada, tamale, taco, rice and beans plate. Everyone loved the dishes we were served and the prices weren't too steep. Recommended.

Headed out of SF on a Sunday afternoon and we were hungry for a little something. Saw the sign and the parking lot had several cars - Quick turn into the parking lot - no out of state license plates.
Ordered chicken breast with mushroom sauce plate, a calabecita papusa, and pork tamal to share. The plate had a great salad, rice and a lovely, rich mild mushroom sauce. The tamal had a huge, tender, lean chunk of pork with a mild tomato sauce. The mas was soft and fluffy. The only complaint is that I would have liked a little more squash in the papusa, but it was hot and melty.

This is a purely local place. We were told about it by a local we met during our stay. We were obviously the only tourists there. It is an amazingly inexpensive restaurant. Our dinner (which was very yummy), cost us about $20.00 with a tip! One drawback is that they don't have a liquor license so you can't have beer with your very good New Mexican dinner. The service and food is excellent (especially considering the price). It is a local spot and not the place for upscale New Mexican cuisine, but for a green chili meal this is quite a find.
