Owner description: We are the only professional symphony orchestra-with-chorus in Northern New Mexico, with top-flight musicians whose resumes include outstanding conservatories and renowned orchestras, led by Principal Conductor Guillermo Figueroa. Fall through spring, we offer a wide range of orchestral music that excites the most avid lover of great music and inspires the young and young at heart. We serve nearly 4,000 school children per year through our award-winning mentoring programs, free ensemble performances in the Santa Fe Public Schools and our annual Discovery Concerts for 4th graders at The Lensic. Our operating structure is inclusive and unique in this country, with seven seats on our Board reserved for musicians. Our orchestra and chorus members are not only professional artists, but real decision makers--fully engaged at every level of our organization.

Strolling around the Plaza, we decided to walk down the street to the OKeefe museum. Discovered an free afternoon performance of the symphony. Spent an hour listening to the classical selections of three famous composers. Beautiful music in a lovely historical setting.

We love this amazing orchestra. Have heard more wonderful and varied music here in 3 years than in 20 years in Washington DC where prices kept us away.

The Lensic is a lovely old movie theatre repurposed to a Charming Performing Arts center. Offerings include the Met Broadcasts, many local groups in addition to the symphony. Seating on both levels is excellent with good sight lines to the stage. Great shortage of restroom facilities. A city parking garage is right across the street.

If you like classical music and live in, or are planning to visit, Santa Fe New Mexico, you NEED to hear the Santa Fe Symphony. Their recent concert included a phenomenal performance of Bruckner's Fourth Symphony that had to be one of the best live renditions ever!

My wife and Saw and heard the santa fe symphony yesterday and the conductor and orchestra were truly exceptional, totally professional, and the music Bruckner's 4th was fantastic. If there is a performance when you are visiting don't miss it. Incidentally the Lensic Theater is beautiful
