A big motel. Nothing fancy, and a bit worn around the edges, but the Sage Inn is an affordable option for visiting Santa Fe. We were two couples, each having a superior king room on the upper level. Given some of the reviews we booked with some trepidation; however, our visit worked out well.
The rooms were clean. The mattresses were comfortable. Good strong showers with lots of hot water. Air conditioning and wifi were fine. We had no trouble with noise. The breakfast was simple but you can eat healthy: bread & bagels; oatmeal & raisins; cereal, yogurt; hard-boiled eggs, waffles. Coffee; hot tea and juices and some fruit are available 24/7. Plenty of parking near the rooms. And the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Sage Inn is about a mile from the middle of downtown with shops and restaurants. We drove, but they have a complementary shuttle every hour. If you’re looking for a snack, there is a Whole Foods Market right next door, and one of the better restaurants, La Choza, is a 5 minute walk.
Should you want a safe clean place to stay in a convenient Santa Fe location, the Sage Inn is a good bet.More
