This is a really nice hotel located on historic route 66 in downtown flagstaff. Recent remodeling provides you with a rainfall shower. Rooms gave a coffeemaker and small refrigerator. The rooms are clean and fresh. Staff is very hospitable and friendly. Best part of all is the breakfast. Freshly made waffles by a very long standing employee of the hotel. My grandchildren call this the waffle hotel and live to stay here.

One last item to note. This hotel is pet friendly and has a desperate section set aside for family members of the furry variety.

Sucked! Hotel was awful. Shower filled bathroom with water everywhere. Over priced for what is was. Won't go back. Gaps under door so smoke from next room patron came into our room along with noise. Very old building and furnishings.

Booked online for 2 nights as looked okay for a short stay, but checked out after one night as it feel uncomfortable.
The plus side was the shower was good (hot, clean and good pressure).
The smell in the room was overwhelming and the furnishings badly needed a upgrade though bed was clean and comfortable.
For a executive room it was far from it.

The Good: The desk staff and the gentleman who manages the breakfast were top notch - friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good at this price/star level. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom had an openable window so humidity build-up wasn't a problem. Papa John's pizza delivers to rooms here. It is located on Route 66, so there's a certain nostalgia here, but I'd really call this a motel, not a hotel. Lots of parking. Downtown is a short walk away.

The Bad: Our room was miniscule. We had a king bed which was in good shape, but no chair to sit, no luggage rack to unpack a bag, no towel hooks in the bathroom. Housekeeping forgot to give us replacement towels the first day although that was corrected quickly when we asked for towels. The lobby ATM was broken both times I went to use it.

The Ugly: I wasn't sure about putting this here or as a note, but it is important. The sound of freight trains is constant, day and night. Now... this is an "ugly" more for Flagstaff in general since there are essentially no h/motels that aren't within a few hundred metres of the very busy rail lines, so there is no escaping the trains. Flagstaff is a rail hub. If train noise bothers you, don't stay in Flagstaff.

Note: There are no elevators to the second floor, and more than half the rooms are up a short hill (take road or more stairs). If you're not acclimated to the altitude here, you may find yourself winded quickly.

Room Tip: Try for the lower level near the front desk for less gasping up hills/stairs in the altitude.

This is a Motel. Not a hotel or resort. That said, it's an upmarket motel.

Situated on Historic Route 66 (The reason for our visit) just out of town. In a very pleasant picturesque area, this Motel is built into the hillside and beautifully landscaped with mature pine trees. It consists of several two story blocks, built up the hillside with parking lots surrounding them.
The breakfast room (PJ's Cafe) is a separate building, adjacent to the very nice looking swimming pool, and is styled like a 50's roadside diner.

All the staff we encountered, at check in, breakfast & check out were polite, professional and pleasant.

We booked a Presidential Suite, and on arrival were pretty pleased at the room, for the price that we had paid through Booking.com

We had Suite 215. It is 2 units with a connecting door. One unit had a sitting area and kitchen with the sofa turning into a double bed. The kitchen has a Fridge/freezer, oven, hob, microwave, kettle, coffee maker and pots, pans plates, bowls and cutlery.

The other unit had a king sized bed, Jacuzzi and bathroom

Both rooms had large flat screen TV's and A/C. All of which worked just fine, as did all the kitchen appliances. It looks as though the bathroom had been recently updated.

The condition of the room was okay, but it seems to be generally a little run down and needing some TLC. Just little things like the controls on the Jacuzzi were broken, the wallpaper was damaged in places and the furniture, although generally high quality was a little worn. Also, where things had been repaired or updated, the decoration hadn't been "made good" afterwards. The Jacuzzi was filthy, too.

The breakfast was good. A choice of cereals, sausage, eggs, potatoes, toast and waffles.

By far the most disturbing thing in our room was the bloodstains on the sofa bed mattress and also on the voile curtains. They looked as though they had been there for a while, too.

On the whole, a decent place though, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
