We had a very nice 2 hour trail ride. Mike was a great guide and made sure that all in the party got equal attention.

“Hitchin' Post Review”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

If you cannot stand the sound of the wind in the trees and hooves on the trail, then this is not the trip for you. You are surrounded in nature the moment you leave the corral, with Abert squirrels playing tag on the trail, flashes of bright blue from Mountain Blue Birds and dark navy blue as Stellar Jays fly from tree to tree scolding you and the horses as you ride through the Ponderosa Pine forest. Many Elk and Mule deer can be seen to those who have the trained eyes to spot them. The Fisher Point ride is strenuous and not for novice/beginner riders or those who are afraid of heights. Those who can handle steep, rocky scree terrain are rewarded at the top with a view of the entire Flagstaff area. Just remember, if you went up, then you must ride down the same rocky, narrow trail. HAVE FUN!

“Definitely Coming Back”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

I had family in town visiting me here in Flagstaff, and we did both the 2 hour ride through Fay Canyon, and we enjoyed it so much we went back two days later and did the 3 hour ride through Walnut Canyon to Fisher Point, and each time it was perfect! We had John and Carissa as our guides and they were great! Even though we already experienced riders, it was easy to see that any skill level would feel comfortable managing the trails.

“Awesome time”
Reviewed 9 October 2013

My husband took me for a two hour horseback riding trip. I was a little nervous considering we are over 50 and have not ridden very often. But the owners were so kind and the horses were so well trained that we had a wonderful time! The trails were beautiful and the guide was perfect! He knew the area and we were able to see wildlife as well. Overall just a great experience!

“A piece of heaven in Flagstaff”
Reviewed 9 October 2013

Western hats off to our wranglers, Greg and Gabe, for providing a wonderful horseback riding adventure. My husband and I and two of our friends were experiencing Hitchin' Post for the first time. They had come highly recommended by a representative of the Flagstaff Visitors' Center, and now we know why. The setting is authentically rustic. The horses are clearly well-trained. And the wranglers are knowledgeable as well as entertaining. When you're in such good hands, all that is left to do is savor the gorgeous scenery! True, we were blessed with perfect weather, but it was everything combined that made for a perfect memory. After one 2-hour ride, Hitchin' Post is our stable-of-choice. Pat and John - Sedona, AZ
