We were guests at a wedding reception here. There's a big covered area with picnic tables. Plenty of parking.. Nice playground for kids.

My son wanted to check out the disc golf course here, and it was amazing. We continued walking around, and came across a softball tournament on nicely maintained fields, a chili-cookoff, and a basketball court. The basketball court actually had a couple of balls off to the side, so my kids could shoot some hoops. One of the play areas looked like it was under construction- thought I read a sign saying it was going to be for special needs. The restrooms near the softball tournament were clean, and it looked like there is a senior center that is probably open during the week. There is a nice bike trail that goes by the park, and my daughter can't wait to take her dog to the dog park- it was very big, and had lots of equipment, and trees for shade.

After a long day on the road with 2 50+ pound dogs, everybody needs to stretch their legs. Luckily we found Thorpe Park, about a 10 minute drive from our hotel. It is big, and has plenty of trees for shade in the summer heat. Our 2 fuzz-faces were able to run off all those miles in the back seat of the truck, make some new friends, drink some dirty water (yum!) and chew on a tennis ball that had been slobbered on by a least 500 other dogs. Then they sat in the shade of a big tree for a while. A fine afternoon if you're a canine. With one exception the other dogs were well behaved, and their people attentive. The park is spacious and well kept up. with adequate seating for humans also.

This park was quite large with several different play areas. Great for all ages of kids. The equipment seemed well taken care of. Lots of open space as well and good parking. It was really crowded but my kids had fun!
