We really enjoyed our meal at Brix, great atmosphere, great wine selection and the scallops were delicious

We came here for our anniversary dinner and I had requested a quiet table. It was tucked away with two other tables and we enjoyed the intimacy of it although we could hear every word of our neighbors conversations.
When a server came over with the water bottle and announced it was triple filtered which reeked of pretension.
Our server launched into a list of all her favorites before speaking to us about the menu or what we were looking at.
We ordered the risotto (delicious), pork belly (although overall tasty we were assured the fat would be crispy, it wasn't), the filet with the mushroom duxelles (which was tasty) and the coffee rubbed duck ( the duck was tough and dry and the skin was not crispy as also assured). We ordered a coffee and a Frangelico (which they did not have and brought me a sample of "the closest thing" a cream liqueur) I then asked for a brandy which seemed to throw the bartender into a spin and eventually they managed to find some.
There were some hits and misses on the menu so I am not sure I would be quick to return especially at the current prices.
The food here is amazing! We had been wanting some fine dining after our adventures in Page and this place hit the spot. Definitely order the cheese plate, it comes with a lavender/coffee rind cheese that is delicious. We had the scallop appetizer recommended by our server, it was perfection. For entree we had the duck breast and lamb both cooked to perfection!
The restaurant was recommended by our B&B and were they right. We had salad, steak and lamb. It was well prepared, served in a timely fashion, left us wishing we had room for more. The service was attentive, very professional, and friendly. We would recommend this restaurant without reservation.
