Brix is definitely up-market, but it is also extremely popular. We went on a Saturday night and despite having booked had quite a wait in a crowded drafty corridor. We were staying just around the corner from Brix, so it was an easy place for us to get to.
The restaurant itself was quite cramped but there was a good, friendly atmosphere. We enjoyed our steak frites, but, not having ordered starters, we would have appreciated some bread to eat whilst we were waiting. For desert, we shared a butterscotch creme pot, which was lovely. The wine was quite expensive.
Perhaps this restaurant needs to manage its success better? I wondered whether it was a kitchen issue rather than just shortage of space.
