Thanks to a recommendation from a TripAdvisor Forum member, my family dined at the Brick Alley Pub.
It indeed was a perfect spot to bring my family. My children were able to play I Spy the entire time and not run out of items to "spy". While waiting for our food to be served, we were able to use the salad and soup bar (extremely clean, well stocked, and fresh). We "toured" the restaurant and enjoyed looking through all the rooms.
More importantly, the food was excellent. We loved the clam chowder, baked scallops, and ahi tuna. All were fresh and nicely prepared.

Stayed in Newport for 1 night with our 2 kids (6 & 10). Decided to go here for a late lunch, per recommendation from the Trip Advisor forums. Atmosphere was pretty cool. Kids liked it - lots of things to look at. They seated us next to the bathroom entrance, which for our only time visiting, was a bummer. Service was great. Nachos were great. Lobster roll was delicious - not the best I’ve ever had (being from Boston), but it was still worth it. Son didn’t like his burger - said it tasted “funny,” but husband really liked his lemon caper chicken dish. Huge drink menu. Waitress was spot on with her IPA recommendation. I’d definitely recommended this place if you’re looking for a comfortable, comfort food spot in walking distance to Thames.

We tried the Brick alley pub in Newport RI, The wait was very long. The food was exceptional though. We had the nachos and fish dinners, We will definitely go back again this summer when its not as busy.

Found this restaurant for a quick lunch in Newport. Kind of hard to find parking--even on a snowy day in the off-season--but it was tasty. Had seafood. My wife had the fish tacos which she said were good and I had a lobster roll which I always use to judge a restaurant. This one was good though not the best I ever had. The service was good and friendly.

Why can't they take a reservation like everyone else in town and call you when your table is ready. A 45min wait but was told it would be 20min. People breathing down the backs of those eating. Usually a fun place but this was not. The food was also not up to the usual good quality they have for pub food, disappointed. Service was very good, the waitress somehow kept up and even gave me a ice tea refill. Also, please put some brie cheese on the brie app!
