It's an honor just to be there. The documentary prior to the ride out to the memorial was very well produced. Unfortunately for us the ramp on the memorial was damaged and subsequently closed for repairs. The Navy boat took us out to the site. After visiting the memorial there is a ton of other stuff to do at that location. Lots of cool WW2 artifacts situated all over the place. One thing I don't understand is people taking selfies with the memorial in the background. I just don't get it. It's like talking a selfie at the 9/11 memorial. Not in good taste. Such an important place to visit, control yourself with the selfie impulse.
