have stayed here for many years. we just love it. very quiet, super friendly staff, super clean and manicured grounds. the bloom is well off the rose, but the place is so well maintained and clean, but dated. the friendly staff is what makes the place--its like coming home every time you are here. close to everything, quiet, you can have your own adult beverages around the pool. no elevators, most rooms face the pool courtyard. you will ake friends here and enjoy yourself.

We've been staying here for years. Still our favorite oasis amid the glitz and expense of Waikiki, like stepping back in time. The pool area and pool are terrific. Rooms are nice, clean and very comfortable. The staff is wonderful in all ways. To be clear the rooms are a bit dated and in need of some touch up so if you are really picky this probably is not the place for you. We absolutely love this place and will be returning soon.

We love this place! It is so groovy and relaxed. They make no pretentions about being flash.
The beds are comfy. The rooms are spotless. The pool is lovely and right in the centre of everything that is happening, if you want to be involved - Lots of happy children.
The staff are helpful, fun and informative.
I love the 5 minute walk, to the beach.
Wasabi Bistro, which is incorporated into the complex is really good, but a tad expensive.
We will always stay here, because we don't want or need the Royal Hawaiian and we love the peace and quiet.
Thank you Breakers. Great communicators too!
We'll be back

Room tip: Ask for mid-pool, away from the road

We have stayed at The Breakers for over 40 years and it just keeps getting better. Super clean resort, only two stories high, wonderful and caring staff, small but great pool, cutest kittens in Oahu, extremely fair pricing, and surprisingly quiet. Did I mention the best general manager in the Islands? The location is very convenient to Waikiki beach and any shopping or eating locations you would ever want.. The grounds are spotless and there is endless coffee by the pool. Free parking is limited, but available. Units have small kitchens with at least a stove and fridge. Very good Japanese restaurant is on site. Great Hawaiian atmosphere if you want peace and quiet along with convenience and wonderful hospitality.

This is my third year at The Breakers and I absolutely love it. It's got that old Hawaiian charm with Japanese influence.

Close to the beach (one block) and all amenities, it's a nice quiet hang out without the hustle and bustle of other hotels.

Always try and request not to stay near the back of the building as the garbage trucks come early in the morning. Rooms are quite outdated, but comfy and clean.

The pool is relaxing and the front desk is always happy to help. I'll be back every year!
