As hostels go, this was a great place to stay. Right by the beach and other hostels. The room was relatively quiet for sleeping. Nothing fancy. It was clean and easy. WiFi worked well. Can’t beat the location.

Our awesome experience began when we checked in and were welcomed by the wonderful Ann. Her warm and cheerful personality made us feel at home as soon as we checked in.

The beds were incredible. I loved the sheets and could tell the hostel put lots of thought into ensuring our comfort while sleeping. There were plenty of fans so even the top bunk was cool at night!

The free coffee and pancakes were the cherry on top. Being able to save money on breakfast made this hostel my top choice out of other options.

People like to moan about hostels but at the end of the day you get what you pay for. This hostel is pretty cheap and really close to the beach and all amenities.

I don't really have any complaints was only there for four nights, decent wifi in the room would be nice and more hobs for cooking. Plus cleaning the floors a bit more I know it's right by the beach and the sand gets everywhere but it was annoying to constantly have sandy feet even in the room.

I'm also in general not a fan of dorm rooms with ensuites one toilet/shower between 12 people isn't ideal. Communal ones are so much better!

It's fine free brekkie & wifi in the location is a pretty good deal. Oh there's no lift so if you're on the top floor you have 4 flights of stairs to lug your bags up.

This is one of the worst hostel I've ever seen. The mattress was so bad we didn't sleep the two nights we were there. The bedsheets and the bathroom were dirty, as well as our semi private room. The walls, shower, doors, curtains were all really dirty. Our semi private room didn't have AC so we had to keep the windows open: we had all the cigaret smell and noises from the lounge coming into our room. If you want a cheap place I would suggest you look at the other options in lemon street that were way better and cleaner.

My best friend and I stayed here for 8 nights from 8/7/17 to 16/7/17 in a semi private room and both absolutely loved it. The rate is brilliant, the staff are incredible and the fellow travellers there made our holiday! It's a very sociable hostel which means you get some of the best tips and advice from those who have been there longer or staff members who are very passionate about the island. The sociability of everyone means that everyone is welcomed no matter how long or short the stay, solo travellers looking to make friends or have a bit of company will especially love this place.
We took the day trip up to north shore with Jesse and had an absolute blast, saw so much in one day yet still didn't feel rushed.
The staff do really make the place as wonderful as it is, they go above and beyond to help if you have a question and by the end of the trip it's impossible not to feel like part of the PHBC family.
I'm already booking a return visit for early next year and cannot wait to see the whole team again. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking to have an amazing time with real memories from O'ahu.
