If you're looking for fancy and upscale, you're looking in the wrong place. But if you're looking for a spectacular view, along with a friendly and courteous staff, then you've come to the right place. The staff was invaluable in directing my wife and me to buses, restaurants, tours, shopping, and whatever else Oahu had to offer. The spectacular views of early morning activity was surpassed only by the indescribable beauty of the sunsets. The rooms, while a little small by most standards, were clean and comfortable. The room size wasn't a factor because we weren't in the room that much, anyway. Even without an oceanfront view this hotel is a bargain by Waikiki standards, and being situated directly above one of the most popular breakfast diners at the beach makes it all the more special.

The Aston Waikiki Circle has a perfect location right opposite the beach, near the Duke statue.
Whilst the room is on the smaller side, it offers two double beds, bathroom and a desk area with wardrobe and mini fridge. In room wifi, papers daily, free DVD hire, serviced daily are other features. Resort fee was only $18 per day.
The rooms are clean and tidy. We had an ocean view room on the 14th floor. It was an amaising view from the balcony and was safe enough to leave the sliding door opened at night to let fresh air in rather than using the air con.
We didn't have a car, so the location was perfect and central to all resturaunts, trolley bus and beach right across the road.
You can often score some floating lilo, ring, beach mats, umbrellas and chairs that visitors have purchased and donated to the hotel. Just help yourself and return when finished for the day.
Front desk staff were friendly and nothing seemed a problem.
Tour desk can help with organising tours and Tina was so lovely and helpful. She would wave and say hello and ask how your day was.
Overall it is a great place if you don't need fancy or pretentious staff and visitors. No pool but didn't need as the beach is steps away.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms on higher floors to take advantage of view. Ocean view and beachfront are well worth the little extra.

Compact room, made good use of space. Comfortable bed, efficient shower, small fridge in room. Our room was at the top, on the side of building so great view of the beach to the south though couldn't see the sunset. Fast wifi but no security on network.

Room Tip: Higher floors better. full sea view at a premium

While the location is very good, but the facility is inadequate and I question the honesty of the room service staff. I left my cell phone on the bad within three hours, despite repeated requests to look for my cell, I did not get much help from the staff. The front desk is indifferent and the roof service crew is not helpful at all. Management should educate their staff with better attitude and service.

We were on a late flight (arrived at 9:30 pm) and were headed to the North Shore the following day. But we wanted to maximize our time and experience in Waikiki. The Aston Circle was perfect, with a Oceanview. The staff was super friendly and let us check out late so we could enjoy the beach in the morning. The rooms are smallish *but unique). The history of the hotel is also quite interesting.

Room Tip: Get the Oceanview, not partial
