We have passed by this place many times over the years on visits to Walla Walla and College Place. I thought it was a fancy little grocery store, but they offer wonderful handmade lunches. They make their own pasta (also available for purchase from their fridge and freezer). The panini sandwiches are delicious. The spaghetti and meatballs is so much food you can either share with someone or have enough to take home for another meal. They make their own ravioli, but as is the case in many Italian restaurants, the portions are significantly smaller than the spaghetti orders.

One the hunt for things to back to our lodgings for the evening. Fun to hang out while they fixed our lasagna, big salad, Cugini Platter and The "Sangwich". Leftovers galore. Perfect, as we ate the hot lasagna for lunch and the cold salad and platter for dinner. Believe or don't, the leftover Sangwich was still great for lunch ... the next day!

My friends and I were in Walla Walla for a wine tasting weekend. We stopped by Cugini to pick up some sandwiches for lunch and Lasagna to take and bake for our dinner. We had the Veggie Sandwich, the Grilled Chicken & Pesto and the Sangwich. They were all delish, but our favorite was the Veggi Sandwich. All of us were making those noises you make when something is just to good to put into words. We would take a bite, and then you would here a yummy exclamation. It was so full of flavor and very filling. Later that evening we baked our lasagna's, we had a meatball lasagna and a veggi lasagna with white sauce. Again....Heavenly. Seriously, if you are ever in town you must try them. Great Food, Great Price. 7 of us had lunch and dinner with left overs for $120.

This was a unique, wonderful and tasty experience! There were ten of us, and we felt like we were being served dinner in an Italian home. We enjoyed an Apertivo (Italian Prosecca with a splash of elderflower syrup and slivers of orange rind), Antipasto (beautiful meats and cheeses, olives, tasty bread), Primo (smoked salmon and ricotta rolls in a lemon cream sauce), Seondo (Italian marinated flank steak stuffed with Fesh Parmesan, bacon, chestnuts and herbs) in a red wine sauce, Contorno (Italian roasted whole green beans), Insalata (fresh Italian garden salad with champagne vinaigrette and Italian Oregano, with a beautiful cheese "rose"), and Dolci (a selection of Italian pastries, served with the Italian house wine. Chef Michelle, Chef Sharon, and Michelle's son Aaron made sure our plates and glasses were never empty. Grazzi Mille, Cugini's!

A little slice of Italy in Walla Walla. Wonderful staff, fun little place with an authentic feel. We set up lunches there - they have our appetizer plates and table ready! Just love this place - have been going for years. Especially nice outside in the summer.
