We decided to drive over to these falls from the North Entrance. Coming from the south, it is better to do the Grand Canyon Falls option. This Park is Huge and Magnificent! This version gives you options to walk and see the overlook or walk a switchback trail down to the river. The second option being more strenuous. We are in our early 60's and I did not find the walk down exhausting. I paused once to rest on the way back up. The falls are luscious to view.
If you enter the park from the Northeast entrance you will pass the Lamar Valley which is a good place to see some wildlife, depending on your time of day.
The parking for this attraction is in the curve of a road, so be watchful getting into the lot. We found a place to park in the busy season.
