This is a must see place and your photo will be great. Good combination visit with the Canyon and very accessible - right in the middle of the "Big 8" on the east side.
The problem is the crowds: it's probably 4x number of people than 10 years ago.
try to be late or early, or you will not even hear the waterfall : (
If you have time - visit both the Artist Point and the Lower Falls.

If you have the time, worth seeing, of course - it's a great sight - but if time is limited, I would choose to go for one of the more 'up close' experiences.

You will not believe the view of the Falls. Many artist were there painting it while we visited. This is not to be missed. Nice gift shop there too. Just kept taking the same picture it was so awesome!

We decided to drive over to these falls from the North Entrance. Coming from the south, it is better to do the Grand Canyon Falls option. This Park is Huge and Magnificent! This version gives you options to walk and see the overlook or walk a switchback trail down to the river. The second option being more strenuous. We are in our early 60's and I did not find the walk down exhausting. I paused once to rest on the way back up. The falls are luscious to view.

If you enter the park from the Northeast entrance you will pass the Lamar Valley which is a good place to see some wildlife, depending on your time of day.

The parking for this attraction is in the curve of a road, so be watchful getting into the lot. We found a place to park in the busy season.

Gorgeous if you get close enough. Easy enough to do so don't be discouraged by the hike down. Lots of switchbacks but take your time and be literally at the precipice of the Falls, It's worth it
