It is a long drive up to this point but once you are there the view is spectacular. Be sure to go early enough before the rush. We got there around 9 ish and after we walked around a bit buses started coming so it was getting crowded. Our view was foggy but still spectacular.

We were a little hesitant to drive all the way up here as we heard you will have to take a shuttle later in the day as the parking lot fills up. We had two dogs with us so that wasn't an option, but we arrived a little past noon and there was plenty of parking. The view is just breathtaking and is most definitely the highlight of the park. The drive up is also very scenic.

It does not get more gorgeous than this. Beautiful in every direction. It is a must do when in the park. The public washrooms there were disgusting and appeared to have minimal maintenance. Take hand sanitizer or better yet don't use them!

I drove from Fresno to Lake Tahoe, we drive most of the park but this is a great view point and a must. Take food and drink with you, We came in via Fish camp and they had Gas / petrol a short ways inside the entrance. Most of the roads in the park are good but some of the slower (big drops at the side) are falling apart and would not be good in bad weather. All in all great day out.

If you want the best view of Yosemite, go to Glacier Point. From the amazing views of Half Dome mountain to the sheer cliff view straight down to Yosemite Valley, this location is the place to be. You could easily spend half the day just exploring the point. There is decent parking, bathrooms, a gift shop and snack shack right there.
