We had an amazing stay at the Heritage and can not speak highly enough of the service, the resort and most especially the staff! Everyone was so polite and friendly and greeted you each day with a smile and spring in their step.

The food was outstanding and we certainly made the most of the all-inclusive! Thankfully there are so many options for sports from the gym, golf, water skiing, swimming, snorkellnig, cycling etc that you don't need to worry about expanding waistlines too much!

The spa was a wonderful experience and you often saw many blissed out couples walking around in their robes with huge smiles on their faces looking utterly at peace and completely relaxed.

It really was a truly special occasion for us and we highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting to get away from it all and be surrounded by beautiful views and the most amazing people.

Thank you so much Heritage - we hope to be back again soon.

We have just returned today from an eleven night stay at the Heritage. The hotel is outstanding, we have stayed at many lovely hotels all over the world and the Heritage more than lived up to any of them.

The staff are fantastic and seem happy doing anything to make your stay memorable. The food is very good especially considering it offers an all inclusive package which we have have found elsewhere to mean a poorer standard of food, this is not the case at the Heritage We loved the food in the French fine dining and in the Chateau. The spa is great, when you first arrive you have a consultation in the spa and they work out which treatments you will have during your stay - a word of advice feel free to alter the choices they make for you if you do not like one of the particular treatments. The rooms are cleaned twice a day and are spotless. There are a good range of watersports available on the beach.

My only problem with this hotel is the location, it is situated in Bel Ombre which is an area which is just being developed, there are only another 2 hotels in the vicinity and there are no shops or local areas within walking distance of the hotel. Taxis are readily available from reception and car hire is easy and we had no problem with the roads, although most of the drivers seem to have a death wish. Also the south is much windier and more cloudy than the rest of the island, we had rain most days of our stay, sometimes quite heavy and for prolonged periods. The hotel offers a free trip of the nearby game reserve, for a supplement you can do this on a quad bike tour which I highly recommend as being great fun. If you fancy something a bit more exciting try the cable traversing at Les Cerfs Volants, there are 12 cables which you slide across on and the views are amazing. If you are looking for a holiday which is hotel based with good facilities and high standards and you do not wish to venture much out of the hotel then the Heritage is an excellant choice, if you do want to venture out then hire a car and you will see the very different contrasts of Mauritius.

We have just returned from the most wonderful holiday spent at the Heritage Golf and Spa Resort. From the moment we arrived to the beat of drums to the time we left 10 days later, it was the most amazing experience we have ever had on holiday. Everything about the hotel, staff, accommodation, bathroom, food, service, spa treatments were remarkable. There is such a tremendous sense of calm and tranquillity in the hotel and the surrounding areas. The beach is beautiful and the sea water very warm. The weather was quite changeable at times but the sun was very strong when it was out. The whole of the time were there (10 Oct – 21 Oct) the weather was very windy and quite chilly in the evenings.

The people of Mauritius are lovely and very friendly and can’t do enough for you. They really want you to like their island and are keen to tell you the history of the sugar cane industry and how that is now a dying business on the island and is being replaced by tourism.

As you can imagine from a destination in this part of the world, the flowers and birds are very different from England and very beautiful. My partner played the golf course several times and said that it was the norm to see monkeys at the edge of the course. Even though my partner has a handicap of 6 he found the golf course enjoyable but very tough. I don’t play golf, but the golf caddy managed to pair him with a companion to play with each time. His golf clubs and shoes were cleaned each time after the game and he was also supplied with cold water and a flannel.

We decided to go for the Premium package so we didn’t have to worry about the cost of the drinks etc. The food in each of the restaurants was superb. Breakfast was varied and really delicious. There was a member of staff cutting up fresh fruit the whole of the time breakfast was being served. Our favourite place to eat was definitely the Infinity Blue Restaurant, which is right on the beach with sand at your feet, and it serves the most amazing seafood and fish. If you sit at this restaurant the views are brilliant looking out onto the lagoon. It is also a great to watch the magnificent sunsets from this spot – sipping glass of champagne of course! We went to the Châteaux one evening and we thought it was well worth a visit even though you do have to pay for the wine.

We took the organised trip to Port Louis but it took about 2 hours on the bus and the roads are very windy and bumpy so not good for someone who is not a good traveller. We were taken to the Duty Free shopping centre at Port Louis for about an hour and a half but we found it quite disappointing as it many consisted of very expensive jewellery shops and no perfume shops, as you would expect.

We picked the Heritage largely due to the reviews on TripAdvisor which I have found to be very accurate. It is a wonderful hotel and you will not be dissatisfied if you decide to go – only extremely disappointed when it's time to go home !

We stayed in the Heritage in June 06 to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversry. From the minute we arrived we were totally pampered. The rooms were lovely and large with plenty of space and were immaculately clean. The staff couldnt do enough for you even carrying your plates to the table at breakfast!! We booked the premium all inclusive package which included daily massages what can I say they were fabulous totally relaxing although the paper pants dont help with the modesty much but who cares!!!
The food was amazing so much to choose from.
All in all our stay was fantastic the only downfall for me personally was that the world cup was on and unfortunately if you dont support England then certain people seem to revert to football yobs in their attitude towards you, but we didnt let that ruin our holiday one bit.

My wife and I spent 12 days at the Heritage for our honeymoon at the very start of October. From the moment we arrived until we very sadly said goodbye we were both completely bowled over by the venue and the staff.

We booked ourselves in for the 'all-inclusive' package and I can safely say that we made the most of everything the hotel had to offer! It's hard to convey just how amazing the whole experience was - the staff are so friendly and accomodating, the facilities are second to none, the setting is breathtaking, the food is unbelievably good.

We chose the Heritage largely due to the reviews on TripAdvisor - they do not lie! It is a superb hotle and you will not be dissappointed if you decide to go!!
