The most memorable thing about the Elephant Crossing Hotel is the wonderful view of the river and limestone karsts beyond. We spent quite a bit of time in the dining pavilion just soaking up the amazing view and watching the river traffic go by and the villagers on the opposite bank driving their cattle and going about their daily work. The gardens were also lovely - really abundant with plenty of flowering shrubs and trees. There were two very cute dogs who were friendly and appreciated a cuddle but not pushy or demanding in any way. The hotel was well placed for everything but as it he view was so glorious we ate in the restaurant on both the evenings we were there. The room was fine but the bathroom was a little bit in need of an upgrade. But you won’t get a better view!
