This inn is by far the most affordable, value for money place that you could stay for a night, or more, and just lacks a coffee-house to give it a 3-star rating. The room is neat and clean, with minimal decor and furniture. The bath has a nice hot water shower and the air-con is great too. The flat screen TV lacks satellite channels, but then, Taiping has a lot to offer, so this isn't a problem at all. The parking facility is also great, with CCTVs all over. It is conveniently next to a Major hypermarket, and all the coffeshops and restaurants that you would need. I'd say this is my best choice to stay, when I need a good night's sleep, a hot shower and... that's it... Two thumbs up.

The motel is clean and neat place. The rooms are nicely design, clean room and well kept. Come with WIFI and TV. Great for value and comfort for the price that you are paying. The location is a bit out from the town so to say. Eventhough, it's very convinent to move to the near by hypermarket, Tesco, by walk. The staffs are very friendly and very informative. Nothing beats the local in finding places and foods.

Room tip: Please book in advance to avoid any inconvinences.

It's a very small 3 story motel, with no elevator but the location is perfect. Situated next to a big street, easy access to the highway and very close to both Taiping Sentral and Tesco (literally a walking distance but if you're with family, better drive there - quite dangerous for kids to walk on a busy street). The room is nice, spacious ,and clean despite the faint insecticide smell when you first enter. The smell disappeared after a while. The room is quiet too, despite being next to a main road. The bathroom is great (I love it - strong water pressure) and the staff are friendly. Downside is there is not enough place to hang your clothes since there is only a towel hanger in the room, no closet. Should've at least install a large rail to hang our clothes (especially important for folks on a business trip like me). Room have a wide screen tv but no satellite channel - which actually is good since you're supposed to go out around Taiping instead of locking yourself in the room, plus the boring tv station will quickly put you to sleep for a good nights rest, A really affordable motel to sleep and relax after a whole days work or playing tourist - make sure to visit the lake garden, It is really beautiful, I did after work and it certainty did not disappoint.

I stayed at the deluxe room which consists of 1 king-size bed and a spacious room. The weekday rate was RM68 a night and I feel it was more than value for money given its location and the size of the room.

The room is very basic with ensuite toilet (towel provided), kettle, mugs and 3-in-1 pre-mixed coffee. No breakfast is served at West Inn but local food is easily available at the restaurants next door in Tesco.

Parking is limited given its small land area around West Inn. It is located near local residences so if you park outside West Inn's compund, you're encroaching the neighbour's land area.
