There are a variety of accommodations on this beautiful island. The windward (east) side of the island offers more of a rustic experience. The leeward (west) side of the island comprises the local restaurants and nightlife.
The Hotel Los Delfines was a welcome relief from some of the attitude I experienced at Casa Iguana. Indeed, it is a hotel on an island with limited resources, and some of the amenities may, at times, be challenged. I never had a problem with bugs, shocking showers, or anything other than some minor inconveniences. However, I felt that the staff was friendly, accommodating and happy to help.
The bottom line is that I am a scuba diver, and Dolphin Dive, located on the premises, ROCKS! I dove with both dive shops, and they were both excellent. Having said that, Dolphin Dive treated me like family, not a receipt.
Oh, and the folks that are shooting pool and having fun across the way? Well, they're locals, boat captains, divemasters, etc. Unless you see my happy face in there, too.More
