If you wish to be at the heart of Bonifacio, within a few paces of the port and several excellent restaurants, and with easy (but steep) access to the Citadel then the Roy D'Aragon may be the hotel for you. Although access to the hotel is at times by foot along the quay there is a small municipal car park offering free parking for 30 minutes less than 100 metres from the hotel entrance. Overnight free parking is also available through the hotel at another municipal car park about 250 metres away, although quite difficult to find during our visit due to local roadworks.
The hotel is traditionally French. Our double room was relatively small but comfortable and well appointed. Initially we were given a room overlooking an inner courtyard which was disappointing but on request we were promptly moved to a room with a slightly better view at the back of the hotel. However, if you should want a harbour view do specify this when you book!
The highlight of the visit was an excellent continental breakfast on a sun bathed covered terrace on the quay and overlooking the harbour from where we watched Bonifacio wake up.
For a one night stay this hotel offers very adequate facilities in an excellent location. We would stay there again.More
